Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if your name is on the Nazis' most wanted list. Atop that list is Czech resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one, especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. So when Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's safe transport out of the country, the bitter Rick must decide what's more important - his own happiness or the countless lives that hang in the balance...

the picture quality doesnt have a single bit of grain or dirt.
its been cleared up perfectly.
this is one of the best transfers out there.
i highly reccomend it.
Top drawer film. Shame that the production people did not see fit to put subtitles with it. They just seem to forget that one in seven people are hearing handicapped and appreciate things like this.
You must remember this, surely one of the greatest films ever made, and most certainly one of the finest love stories ever committed to film. Set against the North African town that proved a haven for refugees fleeing the Nazis in Europe, everyone comes to Rick's, the cafe nightspot where champagne cocktails and letters of transit are on the menu. And into this ginjoint walks the luminous Ingrid Bergman, cracking open the heart of the brittle and hard-boiled owner Humphrey Bogart. New pleasures are to be afforded every time you watch it, whether it's from the divinely witty screenplay, or the legendary performances (special mention for Claude Rains' urbane scene-stealing work) but either way, it doesn't get much better than this.
And it's certainly never looked better than this either, with an immaculate Blu-ray transfer.
